Musical Robbers
Last night, Andy and I went out with a couple of friends. Andy and I left together, but he decided to go to Perkin’s after bar close and I decided to go home because I was tired. As a woman, I am always wary about walking into the house alone at night, especially when we don’t leave the inside light on. I parked in the driveway and walked up to the front door and opened the door. Music was blaring from what it sounded like the bathroom, “Like a Virgin” by Madonna. The woman in me freaked out and ran back to the car to call my husband. When I told him what happened his first comment was “The cat probably hit something.” My respone was “The radio, its attached to the shower bar, even the cat can’t jump that high.” Andy’s comment which now in hindsight does make totally sense “Why would robbers turn on the music?” I made him stay on the line with me so I could check all the rooms. No robbers. Turns out it was actually my fault. Earlier that day when I had taken a shower, I had accidentally turned it to be set to go off about 2 in the morning. I guess the only one I have to blame for the near heart attack is myself and my active imagination.

Andrew’s grandparents used to leave a radio on when they were gone to make people think there was someone home. Might not be a bad idea to do using one of those light timers.
