Guilty Pleasures

Okay I watch too much television. I will be the first to admit that. But I have started to multi-task by blogging, watching television and talking on the phone. I like to watch The Girls Next Door. I do not know why I love it so much. I have heard rumors about Hef, but I still like the show. I like how different each of the girls are. Sometimes I wonder how much they are acting and how dumb they really are. I love Kendra’s sportiness and Holly’s business sense. I love that Bridget loves Halloween, that is my favorite holiday too. Its amazing how many oppurtunities being a Playmate can bring someone. Okay this is weird, Hugh Hefner went to Arby’s. That is strange.

Mediteranean Flights and Holidays

One of my friends grandmother and uncle live in London, England. She likes to go visit her grandmother when she can. She also likes to take trips with her grandmother and I thought they may like to take a flight to Cyprus. She is very into wine so she would enjoy a trip to the vineyards while they were there. There is a lot of history surrounding Cyprus so flying to Cyprus would be like traveling 9000 years into the past. Amazing how much history is in the world, isn’t it.

One thing Cyprus likes to boast about it its Cyprus Holidays. It does seem truly magical that you can ski and play in the snow durng morning in the mountains all bundled upand in the afternoon, undress to your swimsuit and sunbath in the afternoon. This is not something I could do where I live.

Another place in the Mediteranean where one can visit is Malta. Malta also boasts about Malta holidays. Malta is not quite as old as Cyprus; its a younging comparitively. Only 7000 years of history for Malta but it has enough history to keep anyone happy and studious. It is a warm and colorful place filled with parties and interesting people. Maybe some day I will get to all of these places.

Pig Out

Today we had a pig out at work. I know in Louisville they call them pitch ins. Basically each person brings some sort of food. Andy brought guacamole and I brought cocoa cheesecake with chocolate chips. We got to work at 6 am. By 9 all the guac was gone and half the cheesecake. Its weird because sometimes all the food we bring ends up being left over, this time we came home with dirty dishes. People kept coming up to me at work and telling me how good the guac was, but not to tell Andy. It would go to his head. Its weird how well some of my coworkers know my husband :)

Mexican Auto Insurance

I have been to Mexico twice in my life, both times for spring break. I have been to Acapulco and Mazatlan. We would use the bus, taxis or walk when we needed transportation. We never rented a car. One because we did not know where we were going, and two, because driving in Mexico is a whole different thing than driving in the United States. One thing for sure I would need would be Mexican Auto Insurance.

On our trip, from the airport to the hotel, we took a coach bus. The things I remember from the drive were the fast speeds and once we got in the city, cars all over the road. When we arrived at the hotel and were trying to turn into the driveway, a car ran right into the bus and then just backed out and drove away. If we would have rented a car and this would have happened, we would have to pay for the damages if we had not bought Mexican Auto Insurance.

A word to the worldly travels, if you are traveling to Mexico any time soon and are planning on driving at all, you need to buy Mexican Auto Insurance. The reason you need to buy Mexican Auto insurance is because Mexico does not recognize American or Canadian auto insurance. They only recognize Mexican. Basically, if you are going to be driving in Mexico, buy the Mexican insurance or you are liable. You could be thrown in a Mexican jail which it not the best way to spend a vacation.

Hmm

Spam email is annoying. The fun thing about it is though,to see what type of things you tend to get. I get Black and Christian dating emails and also Colon cleanser. What types of things have I been giving my email address on? Do they know something I don’t know? Kind of makes a girl wonder sometimes. I will be more careful with giving out my email address from now on.

Britney

You would think that people would maybe give Britney Spears a break. I really am sick of hearing out stars complaining about her. To me, it just seems like they are trying to get into the spotlight by dissing her because they are not as big. Such as Avril Lavigne. I used to like her, but she seems like she is just poser. Pink has even thrown in som words, but from what I heard, she did not single Britney out. Avril has at more than one occasion dissed Britney. Whatever.

Easy to Book

When Andy and I go to Europe, we need to book some hotels. We know we are going to Paris and Germany, but in between, we still have no idea. I figure when we go to Europe, it will be a one time thing. One place I know Andy wants to go is Amsterdam. He has been there before, but he says it was when he was younger and couldn’t enjoy it for what it was. So we are thinking of adding it to our list of places of good.

Its hard to know how to find a place to stay in Europe. Sure, hostels are cheap, but when I go on vacation, I want to stay somewhere alone with my husband. I found this really nice hotel with a great view of the city. The prices are reasonable and make me excited for our trip.

I like that this website is also doing London hotels. We may even have to visit England now. May need to make it a 2 week trip now. Europe, at least for me, is probably a once in a lifetime trip and I want to stay in hotels that are known, reputible and close to the attractions. I want the booking to be easy and affordable.

X-Men III: The Last Stand

This movie was a waste of time.  As Andy said, they know how they wanted it to end and just threw half stories in the middle.  With all the star power in the movie, you would think it would be a good movie.  The special effects in the movie were awesome.  They introduced some new characters without exactly explaining who they were.  For example Kitty, or the boy with wings.  Both seemed to be important,  but I had no clue who they were.  I guess in order to really understand the movie, I have to read the comic book.

Sweet Home Alabama

I never loved this movie before.  But now maybe its because I am older or maybe its because I am married in love, but this is a great movie.  It stars Josh Lucas and Renee Witherspoon and Fred Ward and Candice Bergen.  It is a really cute money with a great soundtrack.  A total chick flick, but chick flicks aren’t horrible.  The thing that is sad about this movie is Patrick Dempsey’s character is left behind not because of something he has done, its because Reese’s character came home to her first husband and found the chemistry still there.  Its sad because it was just one love more powerful than another, not because of something he had done.  I love USA movies.  They show my favorite movies on the weekend.

Tisdale Vineyards

Tisdale Vineyard wines were 2 for $5.00.  For this wine, its obvious why it was $2.50.  This wine sucked. I cant think of a better way to describe this wine.  The white zinefadel seemed to need to be cut my Seven-Up.  It makes me not want to try cheap wine anymore.  But I know I will.  I have a lot of success with it.  The bad thing is that Andy bought 4 bottles of this stuff. Gotta remember to tell him not to buy in bulk until we know wheter or not we like the stuff!
