Decorating

Ads Day!  That is one thing I love about Sundays, all the ads in the paper.  I have been looking for months now at furniture, and just today Andy pointed out some furniture that he liked.  Andy has very unique tastes, but I think both him and I could possibly agree on some Century furniture. It is handmade and slightly distressed, but it looks awesome.

Still not happy

So Andy’s friend never showed up last night.  He called and said he would take peoples stuff to Goodwill.  Last night I didn’t care anymore, I was tired and just sick of it all.  So then this morning, my mom and dad stop by for their stuff and my best friend comes by and packs up her stuff.  Andy’s friend calls and says he’ll be by sometime next week for the clothes and next weekend for the furniture (his brothers taking).   Doesn’t ask, this is what he tells Andy.  So I start getting upset.  I’ve had his junk in our garage for over 3 weeks now, and I have to sit and clean up without any help from him.   Today you know what he’s doing, nothing at all.  But yet I’m out there picking up so I can get my car into my garage.  He doesn’t have any respect.  So then Andy gets mad at me for getting mad, saying I’m unreasonable and hold a grudge.  I’m sorry, I hate when people do not respect me.  I hate it when people take advantage of me.  I especially hate it when people use me.  I don’t know why Andy lets people do that to him.

The thing that really gets my goat, so Andy’s hangs up with his friend.  About an hour later, his friend calls back and says fine, we’ll stop by and load up the stuff just to make Kari stop b****ing.  So when he gets here, he asks what my problem is and tells me I can stop b****ing.  I’m sorry, this is my house, my garage.  How dare he talk me like that.  I do not want him back here.  I do not want to hang out with him.  We are never doing this with him again.  I knew we were going to get screwed somehow.  Andy thinks I just need to let it go.  And maybe I do, but I don’t feel like his friend has any respect for Andy or I, so I will just make sure not to hang out him at all.  Oh and here’s the kicker, he told Andy he doesn’t want to hang out with us now because of the way I acted.  That jerk. Well, we weren’t good enough anymore anyways.

Oktoberfest

While we are in Germany, we are going to go to Oktoberfest.  I think this is awesome because how many people can say they have went to Oktoberfest for real.  I was looking on the internet for some things to see while in Germany, and saw an article on How to Taste Beer.  I think I will take this advice to heart!

I’m confused

So I can not get away from hearing about Lindsay Lohan.  I have read a few articles and a heard some stories on TV and it doesn’t seem to add up.  I’ve seen the guys she was with in the car.  Why would she hang out with those guys?  They look like nobodies, no offense.  They aren’t that cute and didn’t seem to be the model type that Lindsay Lohan likes to hang out with.  There is something going on with this.  I especially love that these guys are suing Lindsay.  Emotional stress my ass.

Quotes

I work for an insurance company so I know how important it is to have insurance. This is especially true since I mostly deal with pre-existing time spans and I see how many people go without and then end up either not being able to get insurance or waiting over 6 months for some type of coverage. If you ever can get any kind of insurance while between jobs or if you are a self-funded business, it is in the best interest for you and your family to have coverage. Try to get quotes from different companies either United Healthcare quote, Humana quote, or Blue Cross Blue Shield quote. This is a free service that you can shop all different insurance companies to find the best insurance that fits the needs of you and your family or even small businesses. You never know when something might happen. It is better to be overprepared than be out of luck and bankrupt if something were to happen.

Passport Debacle

Have you heard about all the talk about getting a passport, renewals and expediated?  Well, Andy and I are going to Europe in October and I neglected to update my name.  We hadn’t talked about going to Europe for sure in awhile until just recently, so I hadn’t seen the point.  Andy’s mom remind us at the beginning of June.  She had read that it was taking more than 3 months for the regular.  I looked into and Andy and I decided to expediated after talking to the post office.  It was an extra 60 dollars, but we figured we would worry less about it.

We sent it express mail on July 10th.   On July 13th, they received it per the post office tracking number.  On July 24th I checked online and it said they had received my passport.  The next day I received a flyer from the Passport Agency stated that they had received my passport and I would have it in 2-3 weeks from the day they receive it.  Yesterday, when our phone line was reconnected, I had two emails from passport agency from the 26th.  First one was in the morning and they said they were processing it.  About 4 hours later they sent another email saying they were finished and to expect it in priority mail by July 30th.  It was in the mailbox today!  I am so happy with my experience with it.  I just wish I wouldn’t have waited so long and paid the extra $60.  But oh well, what’s done is done.

Accents

One of my friends husbands is from Guatemala.  After they got married, he became an American citizen.  He is the coolest guy, but sometimes he’s a little shy.  I know his goal eventually is to open a bakery here in Wisconsin.  His parents own bakeries down in Guatemala and he would like to carry on the tradition.  The only thing is that he does have a very thick accent.  I think that some sort of accent reduction classes would really help him out.  These classes are for executive training in English and foreign language to help people in business succeed.

Not Happy

So the rummage sale kind of didn’t go so well.  Only made on the entire sale about 250-the cost of materials and such, came to only about 210, Andy and I walking away with just a little over 50.  The reason I am not happy is because there was my mom, my sister, my best friend and her mom, Andy and I and Andy’s friend and fiancee.  His friend was here 2 hours yesterday.  That I understand, he had to work.  But his fiancee was here all day yesterday.  Andy, I and my mom all had to work, so we were gone for about 5 hours.  I set up mostly all the stuff both mornings by 7 am.  Andy’s friend wasn’t here today.  Not because he was working.  He was fishing.  FISHING.  So I have to get up at 6 on a Saturday and sit outside all day and get burnt whiles he’s off fishing.  Then he wasn’t even back to help clean up and bring his stuff in.  That really irrates me and Andy doesn’t understand why.  His friends use him all the time and he just doesn’t see it.  Plus Andy doesn’t understand why I am getting so angry.  I hate being taken advantage of.  I hate it.  I did get rid of some stuff, but not as much as I hoped to.  My best friend said she’d maybe have one at her parents house next spring.  I should have just worked overtime at work, I would have made more money.

Christmastime

Do you realize there is only 5 months until Xmas?  I did start buying for Xmas.  I find if I buy a thing here and a thing there, it is so much easier to shop and so much easier to afford.  Of course this Germany trip is gonna make us feel it in the pocket books.  But oh well, you only live once.

Golfing

Andy wants to get me golfing again, and I have to admit I actually did kind of like it.  I know if I keep going, my handicap will get better.  I know Andy would love to try some USGA golf handicap software.  He has about a 22-30 right now.  I have no idea what mine is, I do not think I even want to venture a guess.   This software would help us find out our scores and improve.  I know the more we go disc golfing, the better I get so I assume the same thing would happen with regular golfing.
