I’m sorry

My husband doesn’t understand women.  He may think he does, but he really doesn’t.  He has this problem with not doing home stuff when I ask because he’s too busy watching tv or talking on the phone with his buddies.  I do have to say that when he realizes he’s been an idiot, he will do something that makes me realize he really knows how to romance me.  I think when we get to Germany, he’s going to buy me a flower.  But, he doesn’t just stick with flowers when he is trying to tell me he loves me or that he’s sorry.  He does the little things that put a smile on my face.  He’ll come home with my favorite candy or he’ll take me to my favorite restaurant when I least expect it. I guess because he doesn’t give me flowers all the time, that is what makes me like them so much when he does.

Bad Luck Kari

I do not know what it is about me, but  I watch the Packers play, they lose or make a bad move.  Like Favre almost just threw an interception.  And when he just got his 421 touchdown pass, I was out of the room.  We have DVR, so I had Andy rewind so I could watch.  Congrats Brett!

He looked so happy and like a little kid jumping up and down.  People can say what they want to about the Packers, they don’t have to like the Packers, but as a player in the NFL, look how much he has accomplished.  He’s a great player and from what I’ve heard an all around hell of a guy.

2 weeks!

In 5 hours, I will be waiting at the airport.  I am now starting to get a bit nervous for my trip.  I have never flown overseas.  I have never been to Europe.  I’m still not excited yet.  I think I will not be until we are there tomorrow.  I am not looking travel town.  But we will see.   I will see if I have time to blog while over there.  Maybe when we are at Andy’s brother’s house.  We will see.  If not, I will be back in 2 weeks.  Enjoy!

Transformers

Got to love to the budget theater. I do usually see a lot of movies in the theater, but save money by waiting until they are in the budget theater.  I know I am a bit behind on seeing Transformers.  But, man it was worth the wait.  I throughly enjoyed this movie.  I had never watched Transformers.  I was more of a Thundercats type of girl.  I had an older sister, she really wasn’t into Transformers. Shia LeBeouf and Josh Dumahel are really becoming really big actors.  The movie was 2 and a half hours and it didn’t feel that long.  I did have to use the rest room once, and I saw the cutest thing.  A little boy was sitting on the edge of his seat watching the movie went I left and when I walked back, he was still on the edge of his seat.  This movie was probably really awesome for him.  It was action packed and had a bit of comedy.  I would see it again.

Start of Fall

I was thinking after we get back from our 2 week vacation in Europe we are going to need to find time to take a vacation from taking a vacation.  It would be really sweet if we could get a Free Raleigh, NC Getaway.  The Diwali Festival sounds as much fun as it sounds relaxing to visit. Maybe we would count this as our 2nd honeymoon.  I know some of my friends would throughly enjoy this and they never had a honeymoon really.  I think I am going to tell her to check it out.  She’s a teacher so this getaway would be reasonable for her to manage.  She wouldn’t want to miss any work.

After seeing another country, I think I want to also start making sure I see America in all its glory.  I have heard that North Carolina in the Fall is beautiful.  I would love to with just a click of a button on the mouse to be able to win the Free Raleigh Giveaway.  Even if it only for a weekend, a free 2 day stay away from the stress of being at home, tickets to the museum, tickets to the theater, passes to the RumRunner, gift certificate to a bistro, and more.  That is what I call a nice Fall Getaway

Sense of Evil

Sense of Evil by Kay Hooper is another one of the Bishop Trilogies.  This book revolves around Rafe Sullivan, a small town sheriff and Isabel Adams, a blond psychic.  The reason her being blond is so important is Rafe calls in the feds to help with a serial killer.  Again, this book is all about secrets and explaining evil.  This book takes an interesting approach to evil having a face.  Isabel and her partner, Hollis, have both been touched by evil which has made them psychic.  This story really didn’t introduce to many other people in the Special Investigations Unit that Bishop heads.  There is mystery with a big twist at the end.  It a bit of a love story, but not too much.  I thought it was okay.  I don’t know why, but it just didn’t hold my attention that well

Growing Up

This is strange.  It’s only 10 am on Saturday morning and I am wide awake.  I did have some wine last night, but I woke up feeling fine.  I just hope when we eventually have to start buying baby clothes that I still feel this refreshed when we wake up on weekend mornings. I was planning on sleeping in this morning so I can be well rested for our plane ride tomorrow ( do not ask me how that would make any sense, hindsight its probably not a good idea to be rested.  I should just sleep the entire flight)  But my mother called and my parents came over to take a kitchen table off our hands.  Its kind of sad, my parents kitchen table which was their wedding gift, is too small to fit my sister’s family, my parents and Andy and I for dinner.  So we offered our old kitchen/dining table.  Andy’s parents gave us one as a wedding present, so we had an extra one sitting around.

Excited Much?

No.  I’m not and I do not know why.  Maybe its the 19 hours of travel time tomorrow.  Maybe because it doesn’t feel real yet.  Andy thinks it won’t until I am in Germany and seeing signs.  I am wondering how screwy my internal clock is going to get.  I think once I have everything packed (I’m 90% there, just have the toiletries left and medications) it’ll hit me.  I am going to spend today cleaning the house and doing laundry so that I come home to a nice clean house.  I have given my house sitter detailed instructions to clean of the cat puke I know is going to be here.  The cat is going to miss us.  He knows we are leaving already.  He’s been so lovey to us these last few days, its so sweet.  Oh, and shopping is today too.  Just to pick up some last minute things.

No Paris in Munich

I do have to say I’m sadden by the fact that I will not be seeing Paris Hilton at Oktoberfest.  NOT.  She was kicked out this year for showing up last year promoting her canned wine.  The best part of this situation is that the Bavarians stated that she “cheapened” the event.  I’m liking these people already!

Vaca

I was talking to a friend at work about how after this trip, I do not think Andy and I will be going on a trip for a long while.  But I know every January, my parents go to Las Vegas.  My mom would live at Caesars Palace if she had a choice.  I know if I won the lottery I would either buy my mother a plane or fly her out there a couple of times a year.  I think my mom deserves to what makes her happy.  And for some reason, its slots.
