That is what my mother called my husband and I.  She did not mean it as an insult, what she actually meant to say is that we are wine connoisseurs.  I wouldn’t really say that I am yet, but my husband is.  It was great to get to try some Gold Medal wine.  Andy and I have been contemplating for months whether or not we should join one or two  wine clubs. 

We love wine to put it simple.  Its so fun to match wine with your meal.  The newsletter that comes with the Gold Medal wine even gives you recipes.  For instance with the Merlot that I got, it suggests Chicken Parmesan El Dorado.  I think I may have to suggest to Andy to make this. 

Of course, I would probably have to order more.  Andy and I started decorating the tree last night, so we decided to have some wine while we doing it.  Usually, I am not a red wine person.  It stains my lips with the first drink and is usually to strong for me.  This Merlot went down so easy for me.  When Andy uncorked it, he was impressed that it was a real cork and the smell of the wine, was very distinct.  It was a full bodied wine, I can tell you that. 

This little gift box of wine is a great gift.  I love the wine tasting score-sheet that is included.  The newsletter also is great to read. I like to know what I am drinking.  This is a wine that is good and worth spending the money on.  I mean, what other company includes a personalized gift card.  It makes me feel really special.  I only wish I could have tried the white.  Maybe Andy and I will look into getting some for ourselves for Christmas.
