Four Food on Friday #16
I know I have been slacking—Overtime is just so appealing lately,
#1. What is your favorite kind of juice to drink? Apple Juice, hands down
#2. Pizza. What’s your favorite? I used to only like sausage, but I actually like deluxe now. Mushroom are my friend.
#3. Mustard. Yellow, brown, depends. I don’t do mustard.
#4. Share a side dish recipe that uses rice or pasta.
16 oz package of penne
1 26 oz jar of pasts sauce
1/3 cup whipping cream
12 oz grilled chicken breast strips (andy grilled on the grill outside just because he can)
1 9 oz package of broccoli (we skipped this part since I amm not a fan of broccoli)
1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
Preheat Oven to 350. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
Whisk togethr pasta sauce and cream in bowl until well blended. Add cooked pasta, chicken breast strists and broccoli; stir to coat well.
Pour pasta mixture into a 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
Bake casserole until cheese is melted and mixture is bubbling a little bit about 30 minutes.

That’s the first time I’ve EVER heard of mixing whipping cream with pasta sauce! That’s an interesting combination, I might just have to try it out.

That pasta reicipe sounds yummy, but I’m with you – no broccoli. Don’t you hate that they put it in so many restaurant meals and veggie medleys these days?
