Munchies
The other day I was watching the news and a really interesting story came on. A couple rented a non-smoking room at a hotel in the Green Bay area. The next morning they received the bill slipped under the door with an interesting charge–marijuana smoking charge. First, the couple denies they were smoking in the room, let alone, pot. They went to speak to the manager who would not remove the charge. The couple threatened to call the police, the manager said go ahead. The couple called the police and guess what–charges removed from their bill. Not only that, they got a free meal on the hotel and some other free upgrades. They are still wondering why these charges were even billed to them.
My question is, pot is illegal. Why would you charge someone for doing it without calling the police first so you can have a valid charge. For awhile, at least, this will make me look twice at any bill.
