March for Babies

Today was the March for Babies in Ashwaubenon, WI and man, was it cold.  There were flakes of snow and the wind was 17 mph and maybe about 38 degrees.  It was not a very pleasant walk, but it was for babies, and only 3 miles.  I would have maybe attempted the 6 miles, if not for the cold.  There were a lot of people walking at least 2500, and ironically, I found my cousin right away.  She had brought her daughter, Kait, whose 4 years old.  She has walked every year since she was born because she was a preemie so its especially cool that she walks.  She was very bundled up today, wearing a hat with a chin strap that she used like some horse supplies, you know ,the bridle.  She was wearing the March for Babies shirt, with the smallest youth shirt, which still falls below her knees.  But she kept up, almost better than my husband who had pulled a muscle the night before somehow.  I enjoy doing this walk every year for Kait, for Madison and for all the babies that need the money.  Plus I had 13000 steps, so that made me quite happy.
