Four Foods on Friday #29

This weeks Four Foods on Friday from Fun, Crafts and Recipes has made me really hungry.

#1. What’s your favorite beverage containing chocolate or chocolate flavoring? Chocolate milk (its nutrition in disguise.)
#2. What’s your favorite chocolate bar? OR Share a pic of your favorite candy, chocolate or otherwise.  Hershey Bars
#3. What’s the most unusual thing you’ve ever eaten that had chocolate in it? chocolate crepe.
#4. Share a recipe using chocolate.  Take vanilla ice cream out of freezer, pour hershey syrup over it.  Right now, this is my favorite chocolate dessert.  I don’t know why but the most simple meals lately.

Smart Key

One of the best features of Betty (our Prius) is the smart key feature.  You don’t even have to take the key out of your pocket to unlock the door.  Plus, the car is a push button start so your keys never have to leave pocket.  The benefits of this were shown today when Andy was backing out of the driveway in the morning.  My husband realized he forgot his sunglasses.  Normally he would have to turn off the car because his house keys are on the same key ring as his car keys.  So I was able to sit and listen to the radio and have the air on too.  Now I want a smart key for the house!!!

Exercises Exercises We Must Do Our Exercises

I really hate that just my walking isn’t helping me lose that many pounds. I know people have told me that I need to do some cardio to really lose weight. Andy and I have a bet of trying to lose 30 pounds each by Thanksgiving. I just hope I won’t have to start looking at diet pill reviews in order to help me win the bet! I think I need to really start concentrating on what I am eating too.  We are adding vegetables every meal and I am trying to eat breakfast every morning.  I think the unhealthy snacks is what is keeping me at a steady weight right now.

Happy Mother’s Day

For Mother’s day, my sister and I decided to go in together because my sister lives in Chicago and didn’t know what to get my mom. My mom is always asking me if I have any books for her to read, so I figured this would be the best gift. Plus when she’s done with the books, then I can read them! I bought 15 of the books at a second-hand bookstore where you can return them for credit and get more books. So it is the gift that keeps on giving. See below:

Spring Clean-Out

Today, while my husband went golfing, I spent the day cleaning and shopping. (Sidenote: You get a ton of steps doing this. Just shopping I got 6800 steps. Cleaning once I got home, moved me up to 11000. I guess I need to just clean more and shop more!) We brought out the gnomes–Rupert, Johan, and the others–, Ford grills, and the patio table. I can’t wait until we grill out when its warm enought to actually eat on the patio. I don’t know why, but eating on the patio just makes food taste so different. Darn it, now I want steak!

PayDirt

We finally have our stimulus check!  Plus, we also have just got paid!  So it was a nice couple of hours actually having money in our account. But we decided to do the smart thing (GRRR) and pay down some debt and bills like auto insurance. I hate being a grown-up. If I was in college still, I would so spend it on clothes or movies. Probably not all of it, but it would be nice to spend it a bit on myself. We did save some money to go a nice restaurant for our 2 year wedding anniversary in June. Wow, two years. Seems so much longer than that. (I do mean that in a good way, I think!)

#3. What’s your favorite way to eat chicken? As a panini sandwich.
#4. Share a recipe using chicken or take a picture of a chicken dish. Stirfry with Chicken:

New York, New York

With all this overtime I have been working, I have been thinking about what our next trip is going to be. Andy’s brother now lives in Maryland, his aunt and uncle in DC area and I have a cousin and Andy has a friend both in Boston. But if we are going to go out there, I am going to want to go head over to New York.
I am very touristy when I go places because I don’t care what people think. I am probably never going to see them again and really I don’t know if I will ever get out ther again. One thing I know I would like to do is one of theNew York Tours. The buses are double deckers with a really cool feature–only seating on the top, not in the bottom. It is to give the tourist the best possible view for the tours. I hate trying to figure out what to see and what there really is to see in a city. I like having someone tell me all I can see and give me options of what to see and not to see. Plus not only that, you can have day trips to Philly, DC or Amish country. I love vacations that are planned for me. It would make life easy for me!

Body Envy

Have you ever spent your whole life looking for something? I finally found what I was looking for–shampoo that actually works with my hair. Herbal Esscence Body Envy. Its part of the new line of flavors (types/choice). My husband doesn’t personally like the new choices, he like the old Normal Hair stuff much better, but not me. Body Envy is volumizing your hair, which for people like me (eternally stuck wiht superfine hair) works great. I have the combination shampoo and conditioner whicih also helps me save time in the shower in the morning. My only complaint is it doesn’t help with the static electricity my hair likes to attract.

2. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
3. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
