Layered Beef-Noodle Bake
This meal was okay–it is one that we think we need to change one ingredient to see how we like it–we want to change the cream cheese to cottage cheese because the consistancy just was a little strange. But this had spinach and since I found out I like spinach, I will try anything that has spinach. This meal takes about 25 minuts prep time and is ready in 1 hour.
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups uncooked mafalada noodles
1 pound (at least 80%) ground beef
1 14 oz jar of pasta sauce
1 8 oz chives and onions cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons milk
9 oz of spinach
1/4 cup shreed or grated Parmesan cheese
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 2 quart glass baking dish with cooking spray. Cook noodles according to package. Drain and rinse with hot water.
2. In 10 inch skillet, cook meat on medium high heat for 7 minutes stirring occasionally, until cooked. Drain. Stir in pasta sauce and cooked noodles.
3. In medium bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and milk until smooth.
4. Spoon half the noodle mixture into prepared baking dish. Top evenly with cheese mixture. Spoon spinach over cheese mixture. Top with remaining noodle mixture. Cover with foil.
5. Bake 35 minutes; uncover and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake 5 minutes longer.
