Forgotten

- Cover of Forgotten: A Novel
I actually was able to read a book after having baby. I bought my mother some books for mother’s day and of course they come back my way when she is done. I bought her our favorite romance mystery author–Mariah Stewart.
“Forgotten” is a story about a dying mother’s wish to have the FBI find the remains of her son. She is certain that he was killed by a serial killer who only confessed to 13 bodies, but the FBI is certain there are more. The FBI sends Portia Cahill, an agent who has just gotten back from the Middle East, has been assigned to the case. She goes to see the serial killer to see if he will give up the location of the missing boys remains. The answer leads Portia and the serial killer’s attorney on a path that leads them to answers they never imagined.
The book is about 430 pages long and was a really easy read. I would have been able to read it in one sitting if there wasn’t a crying baby around. I did figure out who the killer was before the end of the book, but I still kept reading because I wanted to know the motive.
