Go Play Outside
I know eventually when Gabe starts growing up, I am going to start sounding like my mother. Such as “Go play outside,” “wait until your father gets home,” etc. A few days ago, Gabe and I went for a walk since it was such a nice day. He slept while I did all the work. Let’s just say, going uphill with a stroller is harder than I thought it would be. We walked by a couple of kids sitting in their front yard. I am pretty sure their parents told them to go play outside. Only problem was–they brought their handheld video game with them. I do not think that is what their parents meant by playing outside.

The world is changing. Computers and interactive devices are becoming central to the way that we play, communicate and socialize.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see what the long term effects are.
