Student Loans

Andy and I both went to college. He was the lucky one and went to a college where his father worked, so he got to go to a private college for free. On the other hand, I had to pay for college with a little help from my parents. I needed help paying for school, so I did what most college students do, I had to get a Parent plus loan.

I would not have been able to pay for college without financial aid. I worked from the age I was 16, but I did not have enough money to pay for 4 years of state college. Financial aid is a great thing for the middle class. It gives those who could not otherwise pay for college a chance. The Parent Plus loan is the best because it is not income sensitive. Anyone can get it even if your parents are rich, but not helping you with college. I know some friends that could not get loans because their parents made too much.

I do have 30 years to pay it back, with a very low interest rate. I encourage those who can apply for it, do. The best thing to do is to consolidate your loans once you graduate. I did that and lowered my payments.

This is a paid post.

Online education

My friend is considering on getting an MBA. She wants to get open a massage therapy store back in Wisconsin. It would be part of a franchise. Although she does have a bachelor degree, she thinks in order to run a store, she would need a MBA. The only problem is that she doesn’t have time to while working. I suggested that she should try an online education. I think watching a podcost by capella university would help her make the decision. She doesn’t know if online education would really work for her. Getting a first person account is what she really needs from the faculty, the students, and staff. Since these are only 15 minutes, she would be able to find the time to watch. She may even like what she sees with Capella University and want to enroll.

Malibu Rehab

By now everyone had heard that Linsday Lohan has checked herself into rehab. According to the news, she is in for alcohol detox. Her father says she is in for pain killer addiction to oxycotin. Sunset Malibu looks like it would be a great location for a rehab and drug treatment center. It is away from the limelight and next to the ocean. It has an awesome view in a private location for the patients. Sunset Malibu is known for using conventional methods and sprinkling in some not so convential methods. Not only do they treat pain killer addiction, they also treat alcohol, substance abuse, depression and eating disorders. They are there to help most problems that are affecting all ages of our community from young children to grownups, from working man to celebrity. Sunset Malibu is does not discriminate, they are there to help.

Give it a chance

I am the pickest eater that I know. Even picker than my sister, Lisa . Or at least I used to be. It wasn’t like I was a healthy eater either. I liked chicken, mozzerla sticks, pizza and chocolate ice cream. Oh and soda, and lots of it. Ever since I met Andy, I’ve opened up to trying new things. He makes me try things even if I say I don’t like it. I think in the beginning I was trying to impress him. Now, he’s right (don’t tell him that) that I just think I don’t like something because I never tried it. I now eat calamari, mussels, escargots (my favorite), asparagus, curry, and much much more. Recently, we bought whole wheat toast. “You, the Owners Manual” by Dr Oz and Dr Rozien, state that it is better for you. I want my “realage” to be down, so that is what I am trying to do. Plus we need more money for the backyard. Plus, I just want to feel healthier.

Obessive Behavior

My husband thinks I have a problem, I tend to be obsessive about stuff. For instance the walking, for the first month I was all about getting at least 7,000. But then that was not good enough for me. Then it was 12,000 and then 20,000. Once I get an idea in my head, I give a hundred percent at it. I think thats why he likes me having my blog. One he doesnt have to listen to me. Two I dont nag him as much when I am blogging. So what Im saying is blogging is good for a relationship.
