Its so weird with watching TV right now. Normally, the shows either are in reruns or not much is happening because its not May sweeps. But this year is different with the writers strike. I really do not know how I am going to be able to keep up with all the shows. Right now we only have 45 hours left on our DVR.
Monday was the first of the new episodes for “How I Met Your Mother.” I love this show. Its witty and fun. Its a nice show to come home and watch and laugh. I love the fact that they keep showing glimpses of “your mother” but she’s always hidden by something. I have a feeling we have seen “your mother” a couple of times already.
I look forward to next week with Britney. We’ll see how that turns out. Maybe it will be legend—wait for it—dary. (I’m sorry I had to!)

Trailers so work for me. For the last few weeks, I have been seeing the trailer for the movie Step Up 2. It got me thinking, maybe I should watch the first one. So I ordered it on Netflix (love it). I thought it was okay. It was the typical love story dance movie. If you’ve seen Center Stage, Dirty Dancing, Save the Last Dance, and liked them, you will like this movie. The good thing about this movie is that they concentrate on the guy’s life more than the girl’s life. Its nothing to write home about. If this movie is anything like the sequel, I probably wouldn’t recommend seeing it in the theater.
The basic story is poor white boy Tyler breaks into this dance school and gets caught. His community service is to work as a janitor at the dance school. One of the dancers, Nora, is needing a partner and Tyler can dance. They dance, they fight, they fall in love….the typical movie.

Okay, my first complaint is TLC should not have changed the names listing for Jon and Kate Plus 8 on Monday. My DVR wasn’t going to tape it! But, I caught it so its okay. Can you imagine that many kids on an airplane? I wonder if the other passengers got Bose headphones, you know, the ones that reduce the outside noise? This show is one of my favorites to watch. After each time we watch, my husband turns to me and asks if I really do want kids. My answer is still the same, no matter how much crying or teasing or yelling, eventually I do want them. Just not 8 at one time! I look forward to Monday’s episode to see how well the kids ski!

I hate to admit it, but I actually kind of like this new game show on Fox. I thought it was going to be so stupid. Well, it is stupid, but its addicting. You want to see if the person answers the questions truthfully and how much they want to explain. I can see marriages and relationships ruined over this show.
Here is the gist: Person is asked 50 questions prior to the night of the show. On the night of the show, 21 are picked. The person answers them truthfully (to win the money) in front of their friends, family, coworkers, studio audience and the world. For example, one of the questions usually is “Have you ever stolen something from your job?” This one of the more normal questions that almost anyone is going to say yes to. Its not uncommon for someone to take a pen from work and count that as stealing. Its not like they are stealing some new pocket watches. The questions that are hard are the ones you have to interpret what they are really asking and how you really feel about it.
Its weird what people will do for money. I do not think I would do it because they seem to exploit your weaknesses. I do not have anything to hide, but I also do not want the whole world to know that. The show does offer some good questions to ask of your family and friends.

Have you heard the song “Crazy B****” by Buckcherry? I personally love the song because its fun to listen to. I saw Buckcherry in concert with Bush and Days of the New about 7 years ago. The funny thing is this is before I knew my husband and he went to the same concert. I wonder if we saw each other there! Anyway, the funny thing is you what the next single that Buckcherry released was? “Sorry.” Coincidence? I don’t know, but I find it amusing!

And this is not by choice. Marcus Theaters are not airing Sweeny Todd. Why? Why? Why? How can they deprive me of my Johnny? I need a viewing of Johnny ever couple of days to make the world right
All I know is that there was some discrepancies in money or something between the production company and the theater. So basically all us Johnny Depp fans get screwed!

I have to admit I watched a few episodes of this show about the bi-sexual Internet star–Tila Tequilla. Last night, she picked the person she was in love with–the guy. I would have chosen him too. I mean other than the fact that I am totally straight, but I think Dani, the fire-person, she was just way to cocky. I do believe she cared about Tila, but I think Bobby (the guy) was a better fit. Do I see the relationship actually working out? Well its an MTV relationship and we all know the outcomes of all the other couples. So I am going to go with a no!

I hate to admit it, but I am a reality geek. I was so excited to find out that Newport Harbor was coming back with four episodes. I wasn’t as excited when I actually saw the first episode. I am really disappointed in Chrissy. She was such a sweet girl last year and since she went to college, she became not so nice. She is still with Clay, but yet she makes out in front of her and Clay’s friends with another guy? Where is telling the truth ? Maybe its because I am 26, but I do not understand it. Maybe its cuz I see how she likes Clay and how much Clay likes her, but its just the timing. I don’t know. But it makes me not want to watch anymore.

I do not usually like Xmas songs nor movies. But one I always watched when I was younger, was Smokey Mountain Christmas. It is a movie with Dolly Parton and Lee Majors. It’s a real cheesy movie, with songs and a very unbelievable storyline, but it makes me really realize that Xmas is coming. If you have kids, this is a cute little movie. Its the second time I’ve seen it advertised on ABCFamily channel.

At work to break up some of the tension we have been feeling since we have been working a lot, my team has started playing Trivia Pursuit Pop Culture Edition. One of the question’s yesterday was “Who played Romeo and Juliet in Baz Lehrman’s 1996(?) movie?” The group that the question was for answered Leonardo Dicapro and some girl. The girl was Claire Danes, which they said they didn’t know. I explained from My So Called Life. And they didn’t know that show either!
My So Called Life was an awesome show when I was younger. It introduced Claire Danes and Jared Leto a.k.a Jordan Catalano. I hated this show was canceled after one season. But you know it ended on a great note, so maybe its a good thing the show didn’t last forever. The only thing I really hate is that we never get to meet Tito. He’s mentioned in almost every episode, but never shown.
I love this show enough that I that asked for the box set for Xmas. Teenage angst, gotta love!
