I love satin sheets. A couple of months ago, they were on sale at Shopko for about $17.99. I have heard lots of stuff about satin sheets so Andy and I decided to a couple. Since I haven’t changed our sheets in awhile, I decided to open up a new package. If you ever get a chance, buy some. They are awesome to sleep on. They aren’t as slippery as they make them out to be in the movies, but they do make it easy to move around. The thing I hate is that my pillow always moves. I almost want to put velcro and attach the pillow to the bed. But here is a picture of the sheets.

Splurge on yourself for once. You’ll enjoy it!

This morning my mother and I went to another craft sale. (Which my husband still does not understand.) I trusted my mother to check the time of the craft sale, which she said it was 9. I got up early (7 in the morning) to get ready and drive to my parents. For me, lately this was sleeping in. Actually when I woke up at 7, I started to freak out, thinking I was late for work. Anyways, on the way to my parents, I had to stop at the ATM and take some money out of my checking account. We get the craft sale and get a really good parking spot and we think this is weird. We decide to go in and no line. I finally locate a sign that says it doesn’t start until 10. So we went to Linens and Things and got some gifts and then went back! This is what I bought for my Grandmother:

Yesterday after work, I made Andy stop at Shopko because I saw a sale on box set DVD’s. I love Remington Steele (I know I’m strange) so I got season 2 and 3 for $20 each. I like to walk on the treadmill while watching the show. It helps pass the time. I didn’t need these box sets, but I like spending money. Hopefully one day I do not come home with Chrysler 300 accessories just because they are in the checkout lane. I have a tendency to do that with magazines or stuff that just looks like I may need it at some point in my life. Everyone needs a lint roller and batteries!

I think I need to buy stock in Kohl’s! I spend enough money there. Yesterday I bought a shirt for me, a belt for me and then the most comfortable pajamas in the world. They feel really silky, like you would be sleeping in silk sheets. The reason I bought them was for our trip. We have a weight restriction on the flight from Germany to Paris, so we are trying to keep the weight down. These pj’s weight next to nothing. They are Apt. 9 intimates. I look forward to wearing them! Plus they are my favorite color, blue–so that makes them that much cooler!

If you haven’t noticed, I am obsessed with the store Kohl’s. Last night, Andy and I went to pick up a nice short-sleeved shirt for my friend’s wedding next week. Andy has this problem with sweating a lot so I am not going to make him wear long-sleeved, but I still want him to look a little formal. Well, this small shopping trip turned into buying 8 shirts, one tie, and a pair of khakis all for about $100. That, I think is awesome and I can justify it as new clothes for a new job for Andy. So today, my friend and I are going back to Kohl’s (sale going on) to get some stuff for me this time.
Each time we buy stuff, they always ask us if we have a Kohl’s card. Andy always says no and says we don’t need one either. I am thinking we do because we drop about a $100 every few months for new clothes. I know that they offer good deals if you have the card. I guess I will have to work on Andy a little bit more.

First of all, I hate when I go to stores where I know where they work on commission when they bug you to death when you do not want to be. The worst is when you do need help and they do not help you. It took us about 15 minutes to get help at Circuit City. But when we did, the guy really knew his stuff. We went in to get a Cannon, but they only had a 3X zoom. Andy has thing about wanting a better zoom. I like the fact the Olympus has 27 different settings, including cuisine. I like to take pictures of foods that I normally do not eat. It is also is all weather so it can stand to get a little rained on. It is smaller than our Cannon, and it also takes a lithium battery rather than 4 AA rechargeable batteries.

What happened to the normal Herbal Essence shampoos? Andy loved the normal hair kind, and now I cannot find that anywhere. He’s a man, so you would think he doesn’t care what he uses for shampoo, but not my man. My man is very particular. He almost does more with his hair than I do in the mornings. One of our recent conversation was about taking midday naps and how he doesn’t like them because they mess up his hair. He doesn’t have long enough hair to get messed up, but whatever. He thought I was saying he was bald (which he is not, not yet at least). Now they have Color Me Happy (which I use) but none of the regular.

This week, I have been sick. At work on Tuesday, I had the worst headache, so I decided to try to take something for it. The headache felt like a sinus Headache, so I went to the company store and purchased some. I took the recommended 2 pills and about ten minutes that’s when I started to feel nauseous, sweaty and totally out of it. Plus, on top of that, I still had my headache. So I do not recommend Excedrin Sinus Headache, but it could just be me. I have always had a weird reaction to medicine. Non Drowsy makes me drowsy and giddy, Drowsy always knocks me out with me waking immediately after the dose expires.
At least I never have had a reaction like my mother did when the doctor told her to use nose spray when she had a really bad sinus infection. She told the doctor she never has been able to take cold medicine or anything because it makes her heart race. I guess he ignored her and thought she knew better. She used the nose spray and was awake, unable to sleep, for 3 days. Lets just say the nose spray was properly disposed of!

Yesterday was very exciting. My canvas finally came. It was Fedexed on Thursday and delivered on Saturday. Because I am impatient, I checked the tracking all day! It turned out as good as I was expecting! Andy and I decided to take one of the pictures from our honeymoon instead of a wedding picture. When we were in St. Lucia on the Sandals resort, we opted to do a photo shoot with the onsite photographer. We got one hour with the photogapher all around the grounds. The picture actually looks fake like we are superimposed, but we really were there.
We think this is going to be the first picture to go up in our office/hallway room. Its kind of nice that our wedding pictures are going to be back soon too. It will be nice to actually put some pictures on the wall. It will make the house look more like a home.

I am thinking about doing another canvas for either an anniversary gift or Christmas presents. I am considering if we get any really good scenic pictures while we are in Europe using those and sending for more canvas pictures. They look nice and are not something most people invest in. The turn around time is quick, the canvas is a quality product and the customer service is very nice and prompt when responding. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for canvas photos.

My best friend and I need to find a better, cheaper way to spend the weekend. We went to Kohl’s on Saturday and I spent about $150. I did get a dress, 2 work shirts, 2 pairs of capris and 4 bras. So if I really think mathmatically about it, I spent about $16.00 per item average. I was happy with the bras because they were on sale, $10.00. I could not pass that up at. So all the money I just transferred from paypal, I spent. Darn it. I need to save money, not spend money!
