Radisson Hotel Milwaukee Airport has a lot of good qualities and quite a few downsides too. First it looks like it has a newly remodeled bar and looks like lobby and banquet rooms. I think the beds are new. We actually got a sleep number bed, but I wasn’t too impressed with it. The rooms were not very up to date. There was a balcony, but according to the front desk, almost immediately after the hotel was built it was found out that the balconies were not up to code. So they permanently closed the doors, but didn’t leave any indication that the doors do not open. To me, this was false advertising. The other part of me is wondering how that sealing the doors is not against fire code. Whatever. I wouldn’t say this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, but it wasn’t the best. Oh did I forget to mention that the hotel bar was mucho expensive. I mean coming from Green Bay $5.00 for a pint of beer is astronomical.

While we are in Germany, we are going to go to Oktoberfest. I think this is awesome because how many people can say they have went to Oktoberfest for real. I was looking on the internet for some things to see while in Germany, and saw an article on How to Taste Beer. I think I will take this advice to heart!

So Andy talked to his brother yesterday. At first I did not answer the phone because it said out of area but it actually did have numbers on the phone. I noticed that there were too many numbers, which when I voiced to Andy, he said that’s probably my brother. His brother was calling us for details about when we were traveling, what we were going to see, etc. One thing we did find out was if we took a train from Germany to Paris, France on Eurorail, it would be like 258. Andy’s brother found a flight from some airport near him in Germany to Paris for 9 Euro. That is a big difference. So would you take a train or a plane for those prices?

When I was about eight years old, my family took a Kissimmee vacation. The one thing I remember most about the trip is that it took us 1 1/2 hours to get to Gatorland from our hotel and 10 minutes to get back. My parents think I didn’t notice at all because my sister and I were looking in travel books for free coupons, but I knew what was going on. I looked up every once and awhile and noticed that there were no telephone or electric lines nor houses in view. I noticed the lack of houses and excess of swamp land and fields. But I just kept looking at for free stuff. There was nothing I could do to help. The funniest thing is that Gatorland wasn’t that great. I could do without having went there. But that was my dad’s choice of entertainment that day. Even years from now, its one of the only things I remember.

Andy and I are thinking about going on vacation during the winter time this year, and were considering maybe going to Houston, Texas. We both have never been there which would be one of the major plusses. Andy had been to a lot of places. Houston is not a place of a lot of touristy attractions. I do know Andy would love to go to Houston to see the Astrodome. I know we would have to find a few Houston Hotels. This site offers a good description of Houston, the history and what you may find in Houston when you visit. I did find it interesting that Houston is just over half the size of the state of Rhode Island. It also has a list of sights and attractions. One thing I think I would like to try is The National Muesuem of Funeral History, as morbid as that sounds. It is something I know I would probably not be able to do anywhere else. Working for an insurance compnay, also makes the Musuem of Health and Medical Science interesting. I love learning about how things work, even when I am on vacation. Probably to top it all off, we would go to the Space Center Houston. I have already gone to Cape Canaveral, but i was like 8 and I wasn’t interested in that at the time. Now that I am older I think I would enjoy it a little more. We will see what the winter time brings us!

One of my friends grandmother and uncle live in London, England. She likes to go visit her grandmother when she can. She also likes to take trips with her grandmother and I thought they may like to take a flight to Cyprus. She is very into wine so she would enjoy a trip to the vineyards while they were there. There is a lot of history surrounding Cyprus so flying to Cyprus would be like traveling 9000 years into the past. Amazing how much history is in the world, isn’t it.
One thing Cyprus likes to boast about it its Cyprus Holidays. It does seem truly magical that you can ski and play in the snow durng morning in the mountains all bundled upand in the afternoon, undress to your swimsuit and sunbath in the afternoon. This is not something I could do where I live.
Another place in the Mediteranean where one can visit is Malta. Malta also boasts about Malta holidays. Malta is not quite as old as Cyprus; its a younging comparitively. Only 7000 years of history for Malta but it has enough history to keep anyone happy and studious. It is a warm and colorful place filled with parties and interesting people. Maybe some day I will get to all of these places.

I have been to Mexico twice in my life, both times for spring break. I have been to Acapulco and Mazatlan. We would use the bus, taxis or walk when we needed transportation. We never rented a car. One because we did not know where we were going, and two, because driving in Mexico is a whole different thing than driving in the United States. One thing for sure I would need would be Mexican Auto Insurance.
On our trip, from the airport to the hotel, we took a coach bus. The things I remember from the drive were the fast speeds and once we got in the city, cars all over the road. When we arrived at the hotel and were trying to turn into the driveway, a car ran right into the bus and then just backed out and drove away. If we would have rented a car and this would have happened, we would have to pay for the damages if we had not bought Mexican Auto Insurance.
A word to the worldly travels, if you are traveling to Mexico any time soon and are planning on driving at all, you need to buy Mexican Auto Insurance. The reason you need to buy Mexican Auto insurance is because Mexico does not recognize American or Canadian auto insurance. They only recognize Mexican. Basically, if you are going to be driving in Mexico, buy the Mexican insurance or you are liable. You could be thrown in a Mexican jail which it not the best way to spend a vacation.

When Andy and I go to Europe, we need to book some hotels. We know we are going to Paris and Germany, but in between, we still have no idea. I figure when we go to Europe, it will be a one time thing. One place I know Andy wants to go is Amsterdam. He has been there before, but he says it was when he was younger and couldn’t enjoy it for what it was. So we are thinking of adding it to our list of places of good.
Its hard to know how to find a place to stay in Europe. Sure, hostels are cheap, but when I go on vacation, I want to stay somewhere alone with my husband. I found this really nice hotel with a great view of the city. The prices are reasonable and make me excited for our trip.
I like that this website is also doing London hotels. We may even have to visit England now. May need to make it a 2 week trip now. Europe, at least for me, is probably a once in a lifetime trip and I want to stay in hotels that are known, reputible and close to the attractions. I want the booking to be easy and affordable.

One of my friends from college now lives in Hawaii. I am so jealous! She speaks on cruise ships also. Still so jealous. I know we always have a place to crash when we go out there, but if we didn’t want to impose, we could look into Hawaii beach rentals.
The cool thing about traveling to Hawaii, Hawaii’s biggest industry is tourism. But that doesn’t stop them from still being enviromentally concious. They do try to do all they can to impress their customers, but they try to do it without affecting the enviroment. This does make me want to visit Hawaii. Or maybe its because Hawaii is everyone’s dream vacation.
One thing Andy love to talk about is his family vacation to Jamaica was staying in a villa. That’s why if we decide to stay somewhere other than our friend’s house, it would be a villa. They are more indivualistic and more private. I want to talk about Hawaiian vacation packages to Hawaii just like Andy does about Jamaica and all his other trips.

I know when I have a family, one place I will want to go with my kids is Disney World. The most expensive thing about the trip to Florida is the park tickets. But there there is such thing as discount disney tickets. You can choose tickets from one to ten days. They guarntee that they have the lowest priced tickets. Not only are the tickets for Disney World, and other Disney themed parks, it also includes Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. It also includes dinner tickets like Medeval times, Arabian Nights, and Pirates Dinner Adventures. I know I would love to try these each out. Its nice to have an eventful dinner! Discount tickets can be used for many various venues. Make sure to review the discount disney tickets before you go to Florida. I know I will.
